Monsters

Monsters are the various enemies that the player and their Vulpin will have to defeat as they attempt to find and repair the pieces of the Starstone. They have different elements, which determine what types of moves they are and aren't sensitive to.

Each monster has a set amount of health points, which are lowered when the player uses a damage-dealing ability on it. When a monster's HP reaches zero, it disappears into a puff of black smoke, signaling its defeat. The basic enemy types often reward the player with small amounts of money, some type of banapple, or the occasional piece of item, but there is only one reward per monster. Boss monsters are unique in that the majority of them reward the player with tomes that unlock new abilities for the Vulpin that defeated it.

Defeating a monster will also reward the player's Vulpin with ability points, which the player can then use to increase the Vulpin's stats.

Common Monsters:[]

Common monsters are monsters that frequently appear to attack your Vulpin. As you and your Vulpin progress through the game these common monsters will get stronger and will reward you with a bigger amount of AP.

Boss Monsters:[]

Boss monsters are significantly stronger monsters that appear at the end of a specific area. These monsters must be defeated in order to continue your journey. Upon defeat they will usually drop a powerful tome corresponding of their element. These monsters will not reappear in this area ever again after defeat, they will only be able to be battled again at Darklight Castle. There are 5 bosses in the game, 6 if you play in Flash Game Nexus.

Calyx: The boss of Woods, it drops the tome for Swarm and Boulder Breath. It is the first boss in the game, therefore the weakest and statistically easiest to beat.
Drakhbet: The boss of Desert Ruins, it drops the time for Blaze and Fire Breath. It is the second boss in the game.
Hydrex: The boss of Sea Cave, it drops the tome for Bubble Fountain and Aqua Breath. It is the third boss in the game.
Pterophor: The boss of Cloudy Peaks, it drops the tome for Bolt and Hurricane Breath. It is the fourth boss in the game.
Final Boss: The boss of Darklight Castle, it drops no respective tome, but beating it will restore the Starstone and end the story.
Monsieur Ducky: The boss of ???, it drops no respective tomes. It is the bonus boss in the game, and the strongest and statistically hardest to beat.

Rare Monsters:[]

The game Vulpin Adventure has three hidden monsters, all of these are of the normal element.

Brushbeast: A normal element monster that appears randomly in any area with altered appearance and stats. Upon defeat this monster will never reappear in that area again and it will drop a map to a secret hidden location. They can be naturally encountered however in Bright Cloud.

Ducky: This monster only appears after buying the map to ??? (Which can only be obtained by playing the game on Flash Nexus.)

Monsieur Ducky: This monster is the boss of the area known as ???.
